A Visit to the Chicago Art Institute

I am so blessed to have seen so much great art in my life.  Some paintings just give me chills to think about how old they are, or unique, or what the painter must have been thinking as he or she created.  I spent a couple of days in Chicago and by wonderful fortune, I have a friend who studies at the Art Institute and was able to get me a free ticket to the museum.  The Impressionists = so fantastique.  Modern art = not so much...

Check out what I saw...

This is HUGE in real life!
I could have told you, Vincent, the world was never meant for one as beautiful as you...
 It's the Moulin Rouge!
Amazing from a distance; even better up close.
I hadn't seen this one before, but I really liked it.  It's called "Easter Mystery" by Maurice Denis.
I just love this one.  So classic.
 Dorian Grey!!!
There were many school groups there (it was a Thursday morning, after all).  They were pretty cute and I'm glad they were being exposed to this amazing art collection in their city.
