Bottom line: I'm fine.

I woke up this morning and my chest hurt a lot, sort of pinching around my heart and in my left shoulder, but I went to class at 8. By the time I got to class though, I was pretty dizzy since couldn't take very deep breaths, so a guy in my class walked over with me to the health center. I got checked in and they ran an ekg- normal, then had me drink antacid chalky stuff- didn't help, then they took chest x-rays- normal, and finally drew blood to make sure it wasn't a blood clot. The whole time, my chest/shoulder continued to hurt like crazy, so they gave me a shot of some muscle relaxing thingy for the spasms. That helped for a while, but it wore off within an hour. As soon as the bloodwork came back, they let me go. The doctor said to take 800mg of ibprofen often and to come back if it didn't help in 3 days. The doctor and all the nurses were really nice to me, and I even read the chapter we were doing in class for the day and did some of the homework while I sat waiting.

That's it. I took the ibprofen and it has helped a bit, but it still hurts a lot. I went to my afternoon conversation class even. If it doesn't get better in 3 days, I'll give them a call. As for now, I'm off to a seminar on life in the foreign service.
