1.6km

This is how far it is through a forest to get to my house.  It doesn't seem like that far when you're in a fancy car (with four wheels and seats and stuff).  But I walked it at 10pm tonight, because I missed the last shuttle and had to catch the last group taxi to the hospital stop, where a sign shamelessly mocks the unfortunate wanderer with a large sign proclaiming "1.6km" until my destination. Then I walked on the treacherously narrow, shoulder-less, paved road, where only diplomat plate bearing SUVs drive 140km/h with pumping bass cranked up roam this time of night.

But it's still just 1*C and it only took like 23 minutes.  I made it home safe.  Bed time!
